Introduction

Morumbi

Sao Paulo is the biggest city in Brazil, and the biggest financial, cooperative and mercantile city in South America, but it isn’t the Brazillian capital (The capital is Brasilia).
The city was founded in the year 1554, and today there are 11.150.290 people living in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo represents 12% of the Brazilian population.
As a big metropolitan area Sao Paulo suffers from problems such as gig traffic jams, but it is the city with the most helicopter traffic in the world.
About 70% of Sao Paulo people are Roman Catholic.
Sao Paulo is divided into 31 subprefectures, and it was divided according to cultural history and its large avenues.
In the western area of Sao Paulo in the Morumbi stadium there is hope that the opening of the 2014 Soccer World Cup will be celebrated there.
